Hi! I’m Terry-Anne McPhail

I’m an Online Business Manager + Founder here at Qwerty Plus. I created this practice because I strongly believe I can make a real difference to the success and profitability of the organisations I work with.

My goal is to be your second right hand and another set of eyes, and someone who you can be accountable to, to get shi*t done.

I love what I do, and I want to help you be able to spend more time doing what you love too.

 

All I ever wanted to do as a kid was to type without looking. I got my first typewriter when I was 5 years old, and when I was 16 years old I went to TAFE and learned to type like a “real secretary”.

I’ve tapped away on a keyboard daily ever since. Firstly as a Secretary at the old State Bank, and then at Mt Piper Power Station construction site. Add on office manager roles at a few construction companies, a few years doing tax returns at H&R Block, I was an MYOB Certified Consultant, computer and MYOB trainer at an RTO, bookkeeper at a Massage School, Practice Manager/Office Manager at a number of organisations and an Associate at an Architectural firm. Did I mention the gig at the donut shop?

I could spend all day with numbers and spreadsheets, hence my bookkeeping and finance background. I also love planning for change, which makes good use of my innovative and creative mindset. I’m creative and love using Canva and playing around with WordPress.

My knowledge of small to medium size businesses with up to 100 employees is quite broad, gained from spending over 20 years of working hands on in different departments and spending one on one sessions each week with a business coach for about three years.

Past roles have included Office Manager, Finance Manager, Senior Manager, Leadership Member and Executive Management Member for both profit and not for profit organisations.
